i imagine my daughter in tall green grass exploring on her own for the first time during her teenage years:

falling in love.
a diary.
keeping secrets.
best friends forever.
her first purse.
feeling pretty with lipstick on.
finding a favorite band.
going to her first concert.
shopping.
jeans with skirts on top.
all the things you encounter with pure, unadulterated innocence.
i'm going to try, in fact, i pledge to preserve this moment in her life as long as i can for her.
no need to grow up so fast...
it all moves too fast later on...
best to enjoy getting there, my sweet little girl.
