NOW YOU SAY YOU NEED A FRIEND, BUT WE CAN’T LIVE AGAIN
i'm in the 5 week stretch. 5 more fucking weeks till i am out of this hell hole. (kinda kidding)
its not that bad. but i tell you what is..being away from everything and everyone you love.
living in another city for an extended period of time made me realize who and whats truly important to me.
i realize i am not a psychic. i do not possess any special powers that will help me along the way. i guess thats part of the problem. you have so much self doubt. being in a place by yourself, new friends, new scenery. it gives you nothing but time to reflect.
i'm in this weird stage of my life now and it completely worries me. i have anxiety attacks like a motherfucker.

too much fun.
in other news, i've been tired. this is my last week of classes for the semester, so lots of finals..last minute cram sessions, sleepless nights, coffee....
shit, don't you miss school?
i feel like a zombie.
a zombie living in a zombie town.
no love folks..no love here at all.

sooner or later
so i have to make this purse, well its more of a clutch in my sewing class..but let me share a little secret with you all...
i design and draw...but keep my away from the sewing machine because its just a big disaster.
i mean, don't worry, i can make a simple skirt or a pillow or something like that..but asking me to make anything difficult is a no go. its like the time denise promised theo she could copy the designer shirt.
oh this is so funny!
i appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship of things and i'll just stick to that. besides, i scored a killer piece of sharkskin that i want to design this clutch from. i think its too wonderful i should just keep my dirty paws off of it.
the dye took to it in this really rad rippling effect, which is totally killer bc it makes it that more part of the sea where it came from. i will have to post some pics of the design later-but i am totally going to go off of the sea aspect and make something very mcqueen-sea serpent -underworld of the atlantic.
best of all, i scored this whole baby for $10 in new york at Global Leathers!

cinnamon girl
i'm locking myself in my room and planning to spend the next 8 hours drawing my heart out. i have another meeting tomorrow. i am hoping to solidify some of this mess that i have all around me and begin the process of working on completed illustrations. i've been listening to neil young on repeat. i know a lot of heads who pay him no respect...but i swear to god, i will change their feeble minds some .day. soon.

have been scattered sleep. resulting in 2 hour sleep patterns-so i'm foggy, i'm jaded, i'm back to my own private hell that is graduate school. but i love what i do. i really fucking love what i do.
in other world BREAKING news, i am in the process of compiling a mix tape for some one really special. i met her last year at school & she's moving to california. sweet, sweet, sunny----- california, for a little taste of grad school herself. (silly wabbit) but for real-ski/ski/ski--- i am so happy and i want this mix to be good to her on the long road ahead, let it take her places the road can not. what's made the cut, you ask?
ramones. tom petty. small faces. depeche mode. iggy pop. & a little band that calls themselves: golden earring.
yah, i typically don't like to fuck around when it comes to mix tapes. its going to rock. i'm filling in the missing pieces...and if you can think of something, why not share it with me???
some of the things i'm considering are...cities-like ones she'll pass through. driving or cars. new york (because thats a special place to her) california, particularly L.A. and perhaps even just whats ahead.... metaphor or not.

you're walking meadows in my mind, making waves across my tide
ok, so i am officially done with this year's classes. i went out last night and had a few drinks. i'll admit, i got pretty drunk and at one point, i started to doze off. (i haven't been sleeping that much this entire school year) as usual, my friend and i met some pretty neat people-believe it or not, zombie towns do contain some gems.
my goal was to wake up early and start deciding what my final project should be. i was all set to design little foxes by lillian hellman. i told my professor about this and he thinks its a good choice but maybe i should look into orpheus descending by tennessee williams. its a little bigger cast of characters, still just one set...but the most fascinating part of the play is that its a modern version of orpheus & eurydice. both plays are set in the south. i just don't really know which one to pick. my brain hurts-
i'm going to try to concentrate.
sometimes, getting a start is the hardest part. its like all i need is a little electric shock treatment and then i'd go and get it done.
in other news, here's the top 5 on some news that will waste time.

how about this little leather number from yaya..
white leather-asymetrical zip up, i was thinking about all the ways i could rock this. over dresses, over jeans..ugh, maybe thats all...but the point is, i have lots of dresses and jeans to wear this white goddess over. at close to 700 bones, i'm going to have to keep dreamin. but its ok to dream a lil dream. @madison los angeles

so call me a freakin new age hippie or whatever. but i love gemstones. and yah, i do collect them and sometimes, just sometimes, (i feel energy from them). granted, most of that energy was found during 00-02'. but it doesn't matter, i still love gemstones and i like reading about what sort of meanings the stone has behind them.
so thats moonstone. i love the hazy quality to the stone. kind of works like my mind-esp. my mind during 00-02' which was like a rite of passage for me. so, i am officially on the hunt for a crazy cool vintage moonstone piece.

beat on the brat with a baseball bat
its a craptastic day in the have. cold & rainy. total bummer.
not to mention, little things have been getting me down.
hey, if i can't use my own blog to bitch..i don't know what to do.
devo truly paved the way for so many alternative bands that peeps have jock itch for. sure, they were wacky, but who doesn't love a spice of wickedness? rads for shilla. definitely my favorite devo song, too bad this recording is so warped! please enjoy. and if you are not familiar with the total wickedness that is devo, please allow me to share the wealth.
lets hope tomorrow is a better day.
and here's the clip when they feature 'gut feeling' in LIFE AQUATIC (killer flick). eine german, for my double boo, christine & ike, who are germany abroad.
